About Charlie

Charlie Maddock has proven that she is a force to be reckoned with.

Originating from a kickboxing background, she has previously won the WAKO World Champion title three times amongst a long list of others.

Maddock is most recognised, however, for her historic win at the inaugural European Games in 2015, where she was the first ever British female taekwondo athlete to win gold.

She also finished first place on the podium at the Grand Prix Final in 2016.

WHEN DID YOU START TAEKWONDO AND WHY:
I started taekwondo through Fighting Chance and previously did kickboxing.

OTHER SPORTS PLAYED:
Kickboxing and dance.

HONOURS:
(Kickboxing) Three times WAKO World Champion, two times WAKO European Champion, British champion, three times Irish Open champion, WKA World Championships.

AMBITION:
To become a Taekwondo World and European Champion and to fight at the Olympics.
