Update on Olympic Selection: Male -80kg

GB Taekwondo has been advised that the World Taekwondo Federation wish to review the current process for Olympic selection.

The national governing body, British Taekwondo and GB Taekwondo will give the World Taekwondo Federation their full cooperation and work with them and the British Olympic Association to resolve this matter as soon as possible.

During the course of this selection process GB Taekwondo has followed the recommendations of both Sport Resolutions and the British Olympic Association's Olympic Qualification Standards Panel and believes it has satisfied all requirements in making the current nomination for the outstanding male -80kg position.

GB Taekwondo will now consult with the World Taekwondo Federation to establish how they wish to conduct their review and until doing so will not be commenting further.
