Jade Jones Happy To Be Favourite Heading Into Rio
Jade Jones has admitted her days of blissful ignorance are behind her as she steps up her quest to successfully defend her Olympic taekwondo title in Rio this summer.
Jones was a 19-year-old novice when she swept to a shock gold in London 2012 amid such a whirl of excitement she seldom had time to stop and consider the magnitude of her achievement.
But heading to Brazil as the clear favourite in the women’s -57kg category brings its own attendant pressures – and has caused Jones to reflect a little differently upon her triumph four years ago.
