High Performance Taekwondo Coach for the Great Britain World Class Performance Programme (WCPP)
Location – Manchester, England
Salary – Negotiable based on experience
Type of contract - Permanent Full Time until March 2017 (subject to 6 months satisfactory review)
This is an exciting time for GB Taekwondo, having recently achieved its best ever results at European, World and Olympic Games. We are now channelling our focus on future Olympic and World success.
Job Purpose:
Based at GB Taekwondo’s centralised academy in Manchester you will assist in all coaching of the senior male and female elite athletes who are members of the GB World Class performance programme. You will also be required to assist in the selection of all Great Britain senior teams for Major championships.
You will be required to work collaboratively with the high performance coaching team and alongside the multi functional sport science and medicine team to support maximum athlete performance from all WCPP athletes by providing them with world class coaching advice.
The objective of GB Taekwondo is to provide athletes with confirmed talent, factual and logical support so that they can realise their full performance potential during Olympic, World and European Championships.
The ideal candidate will have:
• The ability to manage and advise athletes to the highest level.
• The capability to communicate through modern media.
• A good understanding of the English Language both verbal and written.
