Mahama Cho Wins In Istanbul To Give Team GB Four Places For Rio Olympics
Great Britain will send a four-strong taekwondo squad to the Rio Olympics after victory for heavyweight Mahama Cho at the final European qualification event in Istanbul.
Cho beat reigning Olympic champion Carlo Molfetta to reach the final on Sunday and thereby ensure a full quota of Olympic places for his team.
Jade Jones, Bianca Walkden and Lutalo Muhammad have already booked GB quota places in Brazil, although team chiefs are yet to confirm the selected athletes.
After securing the Olympic berth by beating Molfetta, Cho went on to win the tournament with an impressive win over reigning European champion Arman Marshall-Silla.
