London 2012 golden girl Jade Jones has been officially selected by Team GB to defend her Olympics title in Rio in August.

Jones burst onto the world sporting scene in London four years ago as a 19-year-old when the Flint martial arts ace became Great Britain’s youngest gold medallist of the home Games in the -57kg section.

The 23-year-old has become the 14th Welsh sports star to be officially selected for Rio joining triathlon duo Helen Jenkins and Non Stanford, sailors Chris Grube and Hannah Mills, shooter Elena Allen, swimming quartet Jazz Carlin, Chloe Tutton, Ieuan Lloyd and Georgia Davies, rowing pair Graeme Thomas and Chris Bartley, boxer Joe Cordina and judoka Natalie Powell.
