More Bronze For Mahama Cho
Heavyweight Mahama Cho found his place back on the podium at this weekend’s Serbia Open in Belgrade where a bronze medal was achieved.
The twenty-six-year old began his day by beating Greece’s Konstantinos Gkoltsios by golden point 9-8 before going onto face Spanish opponent, Mikel Bernal Fernandez in the +87kg Quarter Final where he won 8-2.
However, London-born Cho narrowly missed out on the chance to go for gold as he lost out to Russian Roman Kuznetsov 3-1 in the Semi-Final.
It wasn’t meant to be for fellow athlete, Ben Haines, as he had a Quarter Final finish against Croatian Hrvoje Sep 3-2.
As for their teenage team-mates, both Josh Calland and Max Cater bowed out during their 1st matches of the day.
