Lutalo Muhammad impressively defeats Olympic legend Mark Lopez (USA) 9-2 in the -80kg Quarter Final.

The London-born fighter comfortably landed a 3-point head shot within the first few seconds of the opening round before going onto block an attempted spinning kick by his American opponent.

The 25-year-old skilfully defended himself against Lopez and remained at a 3-point advantage – finishing round two, 4-1, despite there being technical difficulties.

In the third round, Muhammad confidently landed a chop kick to the head and thus finished the match 9-2.

He will face Milad Beigi Harchegani (AZE) in the -80kg Semi-Final at 9.15pm.
