Olympic Taekwondo Champion Jade Jones ‘Fuming’ With World Grand Prix Final Defeat In Moscow

London 2012 golden girl Jade Jones criticised her own ‘stupid’ performance despite opening the WTF World Taekwondo Grand Prix series with a silver medal in Moscow.

The 22-year-old lost on golden point to Iranian rival, Kimia Zenoorin, in the -57kg final.

Second place was no silver lining for the frustrated reigning WGP champion deadlocked at three-all with Zenoorin after the opening three rounds as the Welsh woman was the victim of a three-point head shot seconds before the end of the scheduled contest.

Jones tweeted: “Never given a gold medal away so stupidly in my life,” she told her near 50,000 Twitter followers after a bad case of deja vu against the girl from Iran.

“Truly disappointed in myself. But thanks so much to everyone who always supports me.”
