Pathway Coach Davoud Etminani Selected For Sport England’s Aspire Programme
GB Taekwondo is delighted to announce Davoud Etminani has been successfully selected onto Sport England’s prestigious Aspire programme.
Designed to support and enhance elite development coaches across National Governing Bodies (NGB), Davoud will be one of 21 elite development coaches joining the cohort this year as he follows in the footsteps of Siva Ramasamy, also a Pathway Coach and part of the current intake on the Aspire Programme, as well as Gareth Brown, Performance Coach and a graduate of the programme.
Shortlisted from over 50 applicants Davoud will be challenged and developed through a series of workshops and mentor sessions over the next 22 months.
In this time Derek Morgan, (Coach Development Officer at GB Taekwondo) will underpin the work delivered through Aspire to support Davoud and to aid the pathway programme in sharing some of ethos and philosophies of Aspire.
The Aspire programme acts as a key foundation to elite development coaching designed to underpin World Class programmes.
GB Taekwondo wish to congratulate Davoud and wish him every success on his coaching journey with Aspire and thank Sport England for supporting his application.
