Podium Finish for Taekwondo Duo
11th August 2018
Both Lauren Williams and Bradly Sinden have secured silver medals on the first day of the World Taekwondo Grand Prix in Moscow.
Reigning two-time European Champion, Lauren Williams fought her way to the -67kg Final before going out to Croatia’s Matea Jelić 17-20, whilst European bronze medallist Sinden came second to home favourite Alexey Denisenko in the -68kg Final 13-22.
Speaking on her medal win, Williams said: “I have made so much progress and it really did show in the first two fights – I was so proud of how I did.
The better person on the day won, I just have to suck it up, move on and make sure that it doesn’t happen again. I’m getting there slowly but surely.”
It was a Quarter Final finish for teammate Christian McNeish – who also bowed out to Alexey Denisenko earlier in the day.
