Team Announced For E.T.U European Junior Championships 2015
GB Taekwondo is delighted to announce the athletes selected to represent Great Britain at the ETU European Junior Championships taking place in Latvia, 22-26 October 2015.
A 17-strong team including 9 females and 8 males, drawn from clubs across the country as well as the GB Academy Programme, will represent Great Britain at the Championships in Riga.
On hearing the news, Junior World Champion Abigail Stones shared her excitement on competing at the major event;
“I am so honoured to have been chosen to represent my country at the upcoming European Championships and hope to do my country proud. I aim to improve on my result in last year’s Euros in which I attained a Bronze medal. The hard work starts now.”
Another junior contender keen to make his mark is Cameron Davies from Wales,
“I am absolutely over the moon that I have been selected, everyone who knows me knows how much this means to me. I can’t wait to go to Latvia and represent my country and try and bring back a gold medal for Great Britain.”
The team will prepare for the Championships through a series of training days at before departing for Latvia in late October.
