The Prohibited List

The Prohibited List identifies the substances and methods that are not permissible in and out of competition.

It is updated at the start of every calendar year but amendments might also be made throughout the year. The latest version will come into effect on 1st January 2024, which can be found on the WADA website or UKAD link.

The main update for 2024 is that Tramadol has now been added to the prohibited list

This information tells you whether products are prohibited in or out of competition. Athletes must ensure that they understand what is meant by the term ‘In-Competition’.
