GB Taekwondo Team Heads to Wuxi for the 2025 World Taekwondo Championships

The countdown is on as the GB Taekwondo team prepares to compete at the World Taekwondo Championships in Wuxi, China. The event will bring together the world’s best athletes for a week of elite competition, and the team is ready to make our mark on the global stage once again.

Held from October 24-30th, the Championships will see fighters from across the globe test their skill, resilience, and determination. With months of preparation and training camps behind them, our team will be heading to Wuxi in the hopes of bringing home some more medals.

As we build toward the World Championships in China, the team has shown real commitment and focus in their preparation. We’ve just completed a training camp in Turkey alongside Egypt, which has provided high-quality international sparring and a strong competitive environment. Earlier in the year, we also spent time training in Suzhou and Wuxi has part of our preparation, enabling us to familiarise ourselves with the environment for the world championships. We’ve got a great blend of established world and Olympic medallists alongside a group of athletes heading into their first World Championships. It’s an exciting moment for the program, and a great opportunity for our athletes to embrace the experience and put their best performance on the mat.
